The Meta Sense lifetime nutrition program is a unique system of nutritional analysis based on the premise that there is no one diet that is right for everyone. Based on different streams of scientific research conducted over several decades, there are three primary systems involved in the Meta Sense Lifetime Nutrition Program.
The first system, your nervous system (and more specifically, your Autonomic Nervous System or ANS) controls the organs and glands involved in processing your food. Your second system, the Oxidative System, performs the chemical breakdown of the food you eat.
These two systems establish your "metabolic dominance." This dominance indicates which of these two main systems is the one most "in control" in your body when it comes to nutrition. Generally, one of these two systems will be dominant, and a particular "setting" within the dominant system will be in control.

In each person, one of the four primary endocrine glands (pituitary, thyroid, adrenal or gonad) tends to be responsible for both body type (height, weight, bulk, shape) and how excess weight accumulates on the body. Certain foods stimulate particular endocrine glands. When excess weight does accumulate, it may be due in part to an over-stimulation and subsequent exhaustion of the .dominant gland... Consequently, eating foods which naturally Stimulate the dominant gland, if done to excess, may result in a weakening or exhaustion of the gland and in turn, a lowering of metabolic rate. This can contribute to the accumulation of excess weight. The Autonomic Nervous system
The ANS, referred to as the master regulator of metabolism, has 2 divisions: the Sympathetic and the Parasympathetic. Each works in opposition to the other, yet they work together to maintain homeostasis (metabolic balance and efficiency).
For example, Sympathetic nervous stimulation speeds the heart rate, while Parasympathetic stimulation slows the heart rate. Together, the Sympathetic and the Parasympathetic divisions work to maintain the proper heart rate, as well as the functioning of all the various organs and glands.
Certain organs are "switched on" by the Sympathetic and "switched off" by the Parasympathetic, while other organs are "switched on" by the Parasympathetic and "switched off" by the Sympathetic.
Some people have inherited stronger organs and glands that are stimulated by the Sympathetic division. These are known as the Sympathetic Dominant Metabolic Types. Other people have inherited greater strength overall in the Parasympathetic organs and glands and are thus known as Parasympathetic Dominant Metabolic Types. In those whose organs and glands are relatively balanced between Sympathetic and Parasympathetic influences, the term Balanced Dominants is used to describe their Metabolic Type.
The Oxidative System
While it might be said that the ANS is concerned with maintenance and regulation of energy, the Oxidative System concerns the rate at which nutrients are converted to energy within all of your body's 100 trillion cells.
A great majority of the population fits into a Metabolic Profile known as Fast Oxidizers. They are very sensitive to carbohydrates (hence the obesity epidemic). Fast Oxidizers are prone to diabetes, hypoglycemia and general hyperness with symptoms of exhaustion when they have wrong carbs and the wrong Fuel Mix at meals. Fuel Mix is the right combination of protein, fats and carbohydrates in one meal. Using Meta sense we can pinpoint this for every person.
Emotionally, Fast Oxidizers become irritable, hyper and unproductive when they oxidize too fast. Wrong carbohydrates, inadequate protein and wrong fats cause Fast Oxidizers to oxidize even faster. The Endocrine System
The Endocrine system controls your body's glands and their secretions of hormones. Hormones are the body's chemical messengers, used in conjunction with the ANS and the Oxidative System to regulate metabolism.
If you are serious about losing weight, you MUST know your metabolic type. Many people gain weight because they eat food that disrupts hormone secretions. When you disrupt these secretions, your body does not get the right signals about what to do with the food you eat.
