Why does 90% of all dieters put back on all the weight they lose?
Because the diets they’ve tried were not personalized to their unique needs! We’re all so different, so individual, that we can’t expect success from a “one size fits all” diet. You can’t expect the diet that works for your friend to work for you. Pro Physique Fitness’s Meta sense Lifetime Nutrition program works because it’s customized to your own body type ... your Metabolic Type. Best of all, your body will work with you, not against you.
"Discover a nutritional plan so specific to YOU the body has no choice but to get lean and healthy, fast!"
The Meta Sense lifetime nutrition program is a unique system of nutritional analysis based on the premise that there is no one diet that is right for everyone. Each of us is bio-chemically unique; but within that uniqueness certain patterns of commonality emerge that we refer to as the Metabolic type. Based on this understanding, we can recommend the types of food, supplements, and exercise programs most suited to the individual’s metabolism, thus cutting through the one-size-fits-all approach that characterizes most nutritional programs.
Based on different streams of scientific research conducted over several decades, there are three primary systems involved in the Meta Sense Lifetime Nutrition Program.
The first system, your nervous system (and more specifically, your Autonomic Nervous System or ANS) controls the organs and glands involved in processing your food. Your second system, the Oxidative System, performs the chemical breakdown of the food you eat.
These two systems establish your "metabolic dominance." This dominance indicates which of these two main systems is the one most "in control" in your body when it comes to nutrition. Generally, one of these two systems will be dominant, and a particular "setting" within the dominant system will be in control.
Each and every person will have one of these systems in control. In order to eat correctly to improve your health, you need to know which system is in control. But beyond improving health, many people want to lose weight. The third system in Meta Sense that is absolutely critical for weight loss is the Endocrine system.
In each person, one of the four primary endocrine glands (pituitary, thyroid, adrenal or gonad) tends to be responsible for both body type (height, weight, bulk, shape) and how excess weight accumulates on the body. Certain foods stimulate particular endocrine glands. When excess weight does accumulate, it may be due in part to an over-stimulation and subsequent exhaustion of the .dominant gland... Consequently, eating foods which naturally Stimulate the dominant gland, if done to excess, may result in a weakening or exhaustion of the gland and in turn, a lowering of metabolic rate. This can contribute to the accumulation of excess weight. However, although other Fundamental Controls such as the autonomic and oxidative systems play the primary role in weight management and energy regulation; the Endocrine Type influence can be a significant consideration in some cases where obesity is present in the determination of the proper foods for the Metabolic Type. [Pituitary, Thyroid, Gonad, Adrenal]
When the right foods are eaten in the correct proportions of macronutrients, that food is converted into energy, and not stored as fat. THE GOAL IS TO BURN THE MAJORITY OF YOUR FOOD INTAKE FOR ENERGY, and STORE THE LEAST AMOUNT AS FAT.
The METASENSE LIFETIIME NUTRITION PROGRAM will help you fine tune your diet so that you eat foods that are ideal for your particular metabolism, in the correct ratios of macronutrients: proteins, fats and carbohydrates. You will discover the “fuel mixture” that works best for you.
The Autonomic Nervous system
The ANS, referred to as the master regulator of metabolism, has 2 divisions: the Sympathetic and the Parasympathetic. Each works in opposition to the other, yet they work together to maintain homeostasis (metabolic balance and efficiency).
For example, Sympathetic nervous stimulation speeds the heart rate, while Parasympathetic stimulation slows the heart rate. Together, the Sympathetic and the Parasympathetic divisions work to maintain the proper heart rate, as well as the functioning of all the various organs and glands.
Certain organs are "switched on" by the Sympathetic and "switched off" by the Parasympathetic, while other organs are "switched on" by the Parasympathetic and "switched off" by the Sympathetic.
Some people have inherited stronger organs and glands that are stimulated by the Sympathetic division. These are known as the Sympathetic Dominant Metabolic Types. Other people have inherited greater strength overall in the Parasympathetic organs and glands and are thus known as Parasympathetic Dominant Metabolic Types. In those whose organs and glands are relatively balanced between Sympathetic and Parasympathetic influences, the term Balanced Dominants is used to describe their Metabolic Type.
The Oxidative System
While it might be said that the ANS is concerned with maintenance and regulation of energy, the Oxidative System concerns the rate at which nutrients are converted to energy within all of your body's 100 trillion cells.
A great majority of the population fits into a Metabolic Profile known as Fast Oxidizers. They are very sensitive to carbohydrates (hence the obesity epidemic). Fast Oxidizers are prone to diabetes, hypoglycemia and general hyperness with symptoms of exhaustion when they have wrong carbs and the wrong Fuel Mix at meals. Fuel Mix is the right combination of protein, fats and carbohydrates in one meal. Using Meta sense we can pinpoint this for every person.
Emotionally, Fast Oxidizers become irritable, hyper and unproductive when they oxidize too fast. Wrong carbohydrates, inadequate protein and wrong fats cause Fast Oxidizers to oxidize even faster. Put simply: the wrong fuel mix will exacerbate their already existing metabolic imbalance, whereas the right fuel mix will balance it.
Slow Oxidizers are prone to lethargic episodes and they easily dip into apathetic moods or even withdrawal. They can become even more lethargic when they consume wrong fat and protein for their MT in their daily fuel mix.
Slow Oxidizers need more specific vegetables with appropriate proteins in order to stay in their metabolic balance so they can enjoy stable physical energy, good concentration and focus throughout the day.
In essence, we are all so diverse that even within the same group, whether Slow Oxidizers or Fast Oxidizers, individual differences need to be fine-tuned. This fine tuning is based on the dominant Endocrine Type, daily rhythms and the constitutions of individuals.
This comparison is just another practical example of the diversity within us all
The Endocrine System
The Endocrine system controls your body's glands and their secretions of hormones. Hormones are the body's chemical messengers, used in conjunction with the ANS and the Oxidative System to regulate metabolism.
If you are serious about losing weight, you MUST know your metabolic type. Many people gain weight because they eat food that disrupts hormone secretions. When you disrupt these secretions, your body does not get the right signals about what to do with the food you eat.
If you gain weight, your body is getting a signal to "store" the food being eaten. And often times, it's the processing of food itself that is either sending the wrong signal (to store the food rather than to burn it), or interfering with the right signal being sent by your endocrine system.
The endocrine system is extremely complex, with many different glands. However, when it comes to metabolism and in particular weight loss, there are four primary "metabolic body types".
These four types describe the current balance, or more accurately the imbalance, among the hormone secretions in your endocrine system. That is, your Endocrine Type describes which glands and hormones are most susceptible to being over stimulated!
If you eat right for both your dominant and metabolic type, you will definitely control your weight and have yourself looking and feeling better in no time.
Meta Sense Lifetime Nutrition Program
The Meta Sense lifetime nutrition program is an innovative approach to weight loss and maintenance that looks at an individual’s metabolism as the core factor in determining the best diet strategy to use. The theory is that a person’s endocrine body type indicates which glands in the body controls his/her metabolic rate and thus optimal energy production.
You may fit into a particular Metabolic Type by easily recognizing some of the traits and symptoms listed below, or you may be a mixture of Types. The Advanced Metabolic Typing Diet Program can help you determine your type more accurately, and assist you in becoming balanced more easily and quickly.
- ANS Dominant Sympathetic (Power Metabolism) - This metabolic endocrine type generally has overactive adrenal glands. These glands that sit just above the kidneys are responsible for handling "stress" situations by producing the hormones we mentioned above - adrenaline and cortisol. Weight gain in Adrenal individuals may happen when the food they eat over stimulates the production of these hormones, which can interfere with the signals from the pituitary and thyroid glands.
- Oxidative Dominant Fast (Energy Metabolism) - This metabolic endocrine type generally has an overactive thyroid gland. The thyroid gland, near the throat area, primarily secretes a hormone called thyroxine which directly affects how nutrients are processed. Food that over stimulates the thyroid gland can cause "spare tire" weight gain, interfering with hormones from the adrenal glands and gonads.
- Oxidative Dominant Mixed or ANS Balanced (Sensual Metabolism) - The gonads refer to the testicles in males and the ovaries in females. This metabolic endocrine type generally has an overabundance of hormones produced by these glands, such as testosterone and progesterone. Food that over stimulates the gonads can interfere with the pituitary and thyroid hormones, causing "saddlebag" weight gain. * Special note* the Sensual metabolism refers mainly to women.
- ANS Dominant Parasympathetic or Oxidative slow (Mind Metabolism) - The pituitary gland, near the base of the brain, is extremely small, about the size of a pea. Despite its small size, it is one of the most structurally complex organs in the endocrine system. Over stimulating the pituitary gland can cause "baby fat" weight gain
A weight disorder is only a symptom. The primary problem is metabolic imbalance. This imbalance can be triggered by a variety of causes - physical or emotional stress; the power of the “Stress Response,” improper eating, especially of “junk” and processed foods; a “burned-out” modus operandi where rest becomes a luxury; dependence on alcohol, nicotine, sugar or drugs (both over-the-counter and prescribed); not enough or too much exercise; an overly sedentary or an excessively hyperactive lifestyle, which in turn can produce lethargy, depression, and weight gain - or fatigue, anxiety, and an abrupt up- or-down weight shift.
The key to weight loss--Balancing your metabolism. It’s not just burning or storing of fat. Its how you use it for quick bursts of energy and strength, and how you calm, restore, and rejuvenate yourself to handle stress, avoid burnout or depression, and slow the aging process. Balance is the name of the game.
Understanding and working to balance your personal, metabolic equation is what makes Meta Sense so unique and so effective.
What’s more, this is not just one more “diet plan.” Rather, it’s a healthy lifestyle plan for becoming the healthiest, most vital, and most vibrant person you can be - AND for reaching and maintaining your optimal weight in the bargain!
Most dieters have made the mistake of thinking of dieting as a “short-term fix” that would make them thin. By contrast, Meta Sense is a program of weight management for life. The weight stays off permanently because you finally follow a Food Plan that suits YOUR individual body’s unique needs.
By bridging energy and metabolism with common sense, Meta Sense’s protocol unites mind, body, and spirit into an authentic holistic medical model. That’s what makes this program so successful. It teaches you what your unique body TRULY needs - in terms of food, exercise, supplements and lifestyle.
